Electronic clinical documentation has been used for more than a decade on the inpatient units. In the near future, Stormont-Vail is moving towards a more integrated, seamless electronic health record.
• The Emergency Department transitioned from paper to electronic documentation in 2007. In addition to nursing and physician documentation, the Emergency Department implemented 100 percent Computerized Physician Order Entry.
