(Topeka, Kan., June 15, 2010) -- Stormont-Vail HealthCare and Cotton-O'Neil Clinic welcome Daryn R. Schmidt, M.D., an internal medicine physician to the health care system. Dr. Schmidt opens his practice beginning Wednesday, June 16, at 901 S.W. Garfield in Topeka to patients age 16 and older. Appointments can be made at (785) 354-9591.
Dr. Schmidt, most recently from Hutchinson, received his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine, Kansas City and Wichita, in 1994. He completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Kansas School of Medicine, Wichita, in 1997. Dr. Schmidt most recently has been affiliated with The Medical Center, P.A., in Hutchison. He also served on the medical staff at Promise Regional Medical Center in Hutchinson, where he provided primary health care services and assisted in the acute care of patients in the hospital emergency department. Dr. Schmidt is board certified in internal medicine. He is a member of the American College of Physicians and the Kansas Medical Society.
