Topeka, KS (March 28, 2008) -- Maynard Oliverius, Stormont-Vail HealthCare President and CEO has announced that Janet Stanek has been promoted to Senior Vice President-Hospital Operations. Janet, a native of New York State, brings 23 years of health care leadership and experience to this position.
During the past 10 years, as Stormont-Vail HealthCare'sVice President Support Services and Chief Information Officer, Stanek has been instrumental in the merger of Cotton-O'Neil Clinic and hospital medical records, information systems, telecommunications and has implemented a system-wide electronic medical record, a very significant accomplishment. Additionally, she has had oversight for system-wide purchasing and supply chain management functions as well as food and environmental services, health information management, planning, biomedical and pharmacy services.
Stanek holds an Associate Degree in Applied Science, Medical Record Technology, State University of NY, Alfred; a Bachelor of Science in Medical Record Administration from the State University of NY, Utica, and a Master of Business Administration, Alfred University, Alfred, NY. Additionally, Stanek has achieved national status in numerous professional societies, is a Registered Information Administrator, a Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems, and has earned Fellowship in the Healthcare Information Management and Systems Society and Fellowship in the American College of Healthcare Executives, the highest professional designation in the field.
Janet has also published several articles including a recent publication in Healthcare IT News, July 2007, “Quality Indicators Can Be, Oh, So Elusive.”
Janet resides in Topeka with her husband Michael and two sons.
