2024 CHNA
Stormont Vail Health is helping launch the 2024 Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) in partnership with community organizations and health groups. The CHNA is conducted every three years to identify key health assets, needs, and disparities in Geary, and Shawnee County.
Over the next several weeks, the CHNA Steering Committee will complete the county’s fifth community health assessment through a comprehensive perception survey, data collection, research, and analysis. The goal is to gain a complete understanding of the public health issues affecting communities and provide accurate data to develop strategies that improve the health of the community.
County residents are encouraged to participate in this process by taking the Community Health Survey, available in English and Spanish by accessing the links below:

This confidential survey will take less than 10 minutes to complete and will be open through April 30, 2024. Physical copies will also be available at multiple community sites throughout Geary, and Shawnee County.
“The CHNA is a crucial tool that benefits everyone in our community, not just the organizations conducting it,” Karla Hedquist, Stormont Vail Directory of Community Engagement, said. “We hope this survey gives those who have historically lacked a platform to share their voice an opportunity to provide feedback so all have a chance to be heard.”
