About Stormont Vail Lab Services
Stormont Vail Laboratory provides fast, reliable testing at Stormont Vail and Cotton O’Neil clinics and our Emporia, Manhattan, Flint Hills, and Topeka campuses.
No appointment required for routine specimen collection. To keep your visit quick and easy, ask your provider to fax or send your orders at least one business day before your visit. Some tests may require special preparation, but our lab team is here to guide you every step of the way.

Insurance Reminder: If your lab order specifies another laboratory (e.g., Quest, LabCorp, or The University of Kansas), check with your insurance carrier before visiting Stormont Vail to confirm coverage.

- All Stormont Vail labs are walk-in—no appointment needed for routine tests.
- Stormont Vail/Cotton O’Neil patients: Bring a photo ID and your health insurance card.
- Non-Stormont Vail/Cotton O’Neil patients: Bring a photo ID, physician orders, and your health insurance card.
State Employee Health Plan Preferred Laboratory Benefit
State Employee Health Plan (SEHP) members must request the Preferred Laboratory Benefit and show an identification card to verify current enrollment.
