Symptoms
Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) affect the heart and blood vessels. Symptoms of CVDs vary widely ranging from chest pain to palpitations. Common symptoms of CVDs include:
- Chest pain
- Lightheadedness/dizziness
- Shortness of breath
- Heartburn or indigestion
- Exhaustion
- Nausea or vomiting
- Swelling in your lower body

Cardiac Rehabilitation Program
Many of our patients are referred to the Cardiac Rehabilitation Program to help them recover from cardiothoracic surgery. The Cardiac Rehabilitation Program staff follow patients through recovery, teach them about living a healthy lifestyle, and help them build up fitness and strength through exercise.
