Stormont Vail Health’s Cultural Ambassadors Expanding Scope
The Cultural Ambassadors at Stormont Vail have recently taken on new responsibilities in addition to keeping track of the cultural pulse of our team. Cultural Ambassadors are an advisory committee to Operating Committee and tasked with understanding the atmosphere of connectivity and climate of the organization from a team member and patient/customer perspective. A new charter was recently developed to better reflect the duties, expectations and reality of the current Cultural Ambassador group and the work they are performing.
New to the group will be responsibility for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, ensuring that key decisions impacting Stormont’s culture are considered through the lens of inclusion. Several former members of IDEA recently joined Cultural Ambassadors, adding to the already diverse membership. Working together, these team members will bring their insights and perspectives to important cultural discussions. In addition, Page Bachman, Chief Experience Officer, and other members of Cultural Ambassadors will soon begin hosting Inclusion Forums to provide updates on organizational inclusion efforts and receive your feedback and suggestions. Keep your eyes and ears open for dates and times.
The Cultural Ambassadors are a group of “leaders and inspirers” who represent multiple positions and locations across our system meets monthly. They plan initiatives and events and ensure that the voice of every team member is valued.
Stormont Vail to be Represented in 2025 Rose Parade
As a thank you to Stormont Vail Health for our efforts in supporting organ and tissue donation, we were invited by Midwest Transplant Network (MTN) to dedicate a rose to be placed in the CEO/Partner Rose dedication garden at the front of the Donate Life float in the Rose Parade Jan. 1, 2025.
Several of the Stormont Vail team signed the rose vial with MTN representatives present. The 2025 OneLegacy Donate Life float is themed “Let Your Life Soar – 2025.” This year’s float features a vibrant scene inspired by the beloved Japanese celebration of Children’s Day. For 22 years, this float has inspired people across the country to save and enhance lives with the powerful message of organ, eye and tissue donation. Stormont Vail works closely with Midwest Transplant Network to facilitate organ, eye and tissue donation.
