We Together Give HOPE: Dave’s Story
Dave Rosebrough, an LPN with Stormont Vail Behavioral Health, knows first-hand how Stormont Vail Health’s HOPE Fund can make a difference during tough times.
The HOPE (Helping Our Peers in Emergencies) Fund offers financial assistance to Stormont Vail team members facing unexpected hardships. The HOPE Fund is funded entirely by donations from colleagues.
Dave was able to get support from the HOPE Fund for travel and treatment costs during his wife’s stage 4 lung cancer diagnosis. Janet Rosebrough was a dedicated team member in the Stormont Vail Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for 25 years – 10 years as an RN and 15 years as an APRN, but retired because her illness was taking a toll on her, Dave said. Janet passed away July 6, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer.
“The HOPE Fund and the employees who donate to it are saints,” said Dave. “It got us down to Houston for her surgery, and that gave me eight more months with her. So, thank you. Thank you so much.”
Dave’s story is one of several we will be sharing over the coming year to let others know about the fund’s tremendous impact and encourage donations.
