Dear Community Partners,
Here are today’s updates:

- “To Your Health” on WIBW-TV Tonight – Brian Aeschliman, Trauma Nurse Educator
Stormont Vail Health Supports United Way
The Stormont Vail Health team supported the United Way organizations in our region with a generous donation of $152,658.29. A giant check with that amount was presented to representatives of the United Way of Kaw Valley, which will distribute the funds to the regional United Way organizations, which team members designated in their donations.
Our support to the United Way helps fund and build capacity of organizations that are addressing social determinants of health for our patients.
The presentation follows the Stormont Vail United Way campaign that was held earlier this year. Thank you to all who contributed or support the United Way in other ways. A big shout out to Tiffany Lambeth, Peer Review Program Manager, for being a wonderful campaign chair for Stormont Vail Health.
Congratulations to DAISY Award Winner Danielle Mitchell
The DAISY Award honors and recognizes nurses who go above and beyond in providing exceptional care and compassion to their patients. Danielle, an APRN at Cotton O’Neil Urology, received a nomination from a patient who shared how their visit with Danielle wasn’t just helpful, but truly one of their best experiences with a healthcare provider.
“Nurse Mitchell listened carefully to all my questions and concerns about my prostate cancer recovery and answered all of them with care,” the patient wrote in their nomination. “Her concern for my well-being was obvious throughout my appointment. Her expertise on the topics we discussed was quite obvious and greatly appreciated.”

Congratulate Danielle on the We Together Recognition Wall.
