Spiritual Care Team on “To Your Health” on WIBW-TV Tonight
The vibrant Spiritual Care trio not only brings beautiful music to Stormont Vail Health, but a mission to positively affect people’s lives by nurturing connections to the sacred through spiritual care.
The three chaplains who make up the Spiritual Care team are Rev. Carmen Raines, Dr. Linda Cummings, and Chaplain Jason Mills. All are relatively new to Stormont Vail, but bring with them a wealth of experience and enthusiasm for their spiritual care roles.
The group recently gave an informative presentation to the Stormont Vail’s All Management Council. Their AMC presentation was also connected to an interview and sharing the stage with WIBW-TV’s Melissa Brunner for a musical performance.
Melissa will feature the chaplains on tonight’s “To Your Health” segment that airs at 10 p.m. on Channel 13. They share during the interview about how Spiritual Care attends to a patient’s spiritual needs while acknowledging they are interwoven with the physical, mental and emotional needs of people. The WIBW segment will typically repeat at 5 a.m. and 6 a.m. Fridays on 13 News This Morning and be posted on wibw.com.
In addition to providing spiritual care to patients and families, chaplains are available for team members.
Stormont Vail is fortunate to have a strong and robust Spiritual Care program.
