We Together: A Communication of Stormont Vail Health (Aug 18, 2022)
Dear Community Partners,
Here are today’s updates:
- Appreciation to Our Team
- “To Your Health” on WIBW-TV Tonight: Kirsten Johnson, NICU
Appreciation to Our Team
Chief Nursing Officer Carol Perry often hears from patients and community members about the care they have received from our team, but she said in recent weeks there has been a different tone.
“I have worked at Stormont Vail for 40-plus years and as the senior nursing executive for more than 20 years. I have received numerous compliments over and over regarding the care that patients and families have received.
“Most recently, a strong theme rings in my ears as I read these thanks. The messages say, ‘We are so blessed to have such wonderful caregivers.’ Or ‘your team is so kind, compassionate, loyal and patient-focused.’ The word ‘blessed’ has been used often.
“The families that are expressing their appreciation are handwriting their letters. I then share their thanks with the individuals and teams who are mentioned in the notes.
“We are blessed to have each of you taking care of our patients and families. ‘Blessed’ is the term that is being used to describe what you do, but more important is how you make people feel. Thank you.”
“To Your Health” on WIBW-TV Tonight: Kirsten Johnson, NICU
